A community

When i first started this blog, i didn't feel like my blog fit anywhere. Most of the blogs i followed were from across the oceans and even though i completely love these blogs, i constantly compared mine to them and didn't feel like mine could ever live up to them. I see now how silly that was because living in different countries means that things will always be different. Different adventure days out, different scenery. I did feel quite alone in that sense that i felt like i couldn't relate or them relate to me. I thought to myself where are all these UK mummies? I just honestly didn't think that many UK mummies blogged.

I was introduced to a website called Tots100 in december by my dear friend, Laura, and signed up to their free blog summit. When i got to the blog summit, i was blown away by this community! Such wonderful mummies all in one room. Everyone seemed to know each other, everyone was helpful and kind. I went away and added the bloggers i had met on twitter and from then on, i have found hundreds of other UK mummy bloggers. I feel like i have been missing out on this community. I am getting to know more and more bloggers every day and i finally feel that my blog might just belong somewhere.

I started this blog to document our days and capture memories that otherwise would be lost and i never ever thought i would make real and genuine friendships through it. I am so amazed at how many people have reached out and been so kind to me. I don't feel quite so alone in this blogging journey now and hope that there are a few more people that can relate to some of my posts. I feel a little like the new kid at school who has just walked into a classroom of people that all know each other but i am feeling more confident and completely ready to get right in there and find more lovely bloggers!
