Their bedroom wishlist

As the girls grow, they keep requesting new things to have in their bedrooms. I miss the days where they both had their nurseries but I do enjoy switching things up in their rooms for them. Both girls have very specific ideas and Elle has even written a wish list of things she wants in her room ranging from it being a full on rain forest room complete with a real tree and a hammock bed to it being pink and girly with lots of fairy pictures.

Because she changes her mind a lot, we have kept her room quite simple. She has one pale pink wall with the rest being white and little features around the room such as her own drawings and paintings. She also has a beautiful wooden floor and I try and keep her room from being too cluttered so she has space to play. You will normally find her laying on her floor playing with her ponies or reading a book!

Elle is such a book worm and makes little spaces around her room to snuggle in to read her books. We have set her up her own desk now so she can sit at it to paint and draw and do her homework. She also loves to sit at her desk and type on her typewriter! Her list of wishes is becoming quite long and we are going to start making a few changes in there for her now she is growing up. For one, she doesn't have any curtains or blinds. We meant to put some up years ago and even put a pole up but we just never got around to hanging any. I have completely fallen in love with the VELUX blinds for children and I know she would so love the Bambi and owl blind. Owl's and deers are her favourite animals and I know how much of a difference having some blinds in her room would make for her. And if she ever did want to have her rainforest room, the colours in the blinds would fit in really well!

Another thing we want to do for her is to get her a proper bedside table. At the moment, she has an old sewing box on legs next to her bed but it isn't big enough for her drink and books she loves to keep next to her and I would love to find her a vintage cabinet to put there so she can keep her things in.

Our priority for now is to finish of her desk, put some blinds up and get her a little cabinet. I think just adding a few extra bits in there that she really wants will make it a more wonderful space for her. She is starting to want to spend more time in there alone with her books and writing so anything i can do to make her feel more relaxed, I will do.
