Make your home feel more luxurious for less

If you have a small family home and you want to make it feel more grand and luxurious this summer, there are plenty of great things you can do. There are many ways to restructure a home and make it feel bigger, as well as make you feel as if you are living in a grand hotel. Here are some of the ways you can spruce up the home this year.

Open Spaces

Whether you have a big living room or a tiny one, there is one thing which is incredibly important when you are decorating your home and that is space. Having a spacious home will instantly make it feel more luxurious, and there are many ways you can do this. You can add white living room furniture into the area for a French Regency style, and bring mirrors and clear ornaments into the area to give an illusion of a larger room.

Luxury Bedroom

Your bedroom should be the melt comfortable and luxurious room of the entire house, after all, it is where you sleep at the end of each day and where you relax when you have had a stressful week. The bed should take center stage and be filled with cushions, lavish bedding and satin sheets, you want the space to feel like paradise, and you want to be able to feel as if you are sleeping on a cloud every night.

Spa Bathroom

Sometimes the bathroom is the perfect place in your home to show off some luxury and it is a place where you want to be able to truly relax and switch off. There are many ways that you can upgrade your bathroom for more of a spa feel, and this includes adding a TV in the wall, bringing in some LED lights and candles, and making the space feel more calm and serene. There’s nothing better than lying in the bath on a cold night and watching your favorite film.

Pimp Your Entryway

The first steps a person takes in your home will give them an idea of what kind of home you have if you want to make a good impression on your guests you can jazz up the entryway of your home with some art and a decorative table setup. On the table, you can place a candle, a photograph, a plant and some sweets which your guests can help themselves to on the way into your home. From the get-go, this will help your guests feel welcome in your home and it will make your home feel much posher.

The lighting of a home can make a huge difference to the way it looks and feels. Think about swapping your warm white lighting for cool white instead. Cool white is much more natural and it will prevent your home from having a yellow tinge to it. Also, make sure to bring as much natural light into the area to make it feel bright and new. In the evenings you can bring candles into the home for a more cozy atmosphere and a warming feel in your living room.
